Regular readers know my advice when it comes to video games: wait, wait, wait. The longer you hold, the cheaper the game will be. In fact, if you wait long enough, it can thus are free.
Case in point: for the next couple of days, origins is offering battlefield 3 (PC) for $ 0, nada, nothing, zilcho. The game normally sells for $ 19.99. W00t!
Of course, nothing is really free, right? There must be a catch. Actually, there are two: you want to create an origin account (unless you already have one), and you want to install the origin client on your PC (unless you already have).
Yep, I was joshin'u: people hardly qualify as catches. It is fair to the trade of a few pieces of personal info for a whole game, and understandable that you would need to install a download manager. Steam works the same way.
This is quite simply, a great giveaway, and a surprise given that the origin last one (plants vs Zombies) had to carry out to the end of May. (It's not only still available, but has been extended to June 16.) Keep 'em coming, origin!
Battlefield 3 was among the most celebrated titles of late 2011, offering "sensation that few games can match," according to Gamespot review. Although I don't agree with the assessment of the "outdated" single-player campaign, it certainly rank as one of the most exciting online-multiplayer games so far.
And, hey, if you don't like it, it's not like it will cost you. Delete, and move on. but I suspect that you will enjoy many hours of run-and-gun fun.
Bonus deal: Speaking of free games, here is a big step for the iOS crowd: for a limited time, Infinity Blade II is free. Regular price: $ 7.99. Impossible gorgeous graphics and tons of hack-and-slash action combined to make it a real flagship game for iOS when it came in late 2011, and today it is still impressive.
Bonus deal no. 2: I honestly don't get the slobbering adoration of the brand Beats, neither and I understand why Apple wants to pay $ 3 billion. I think it's a status symbol thing. Of course, if the product is really good, I take it--provided that there is a deal to be had. Today, there is: DailySteals has the refurbished Beats Power Beats headphones for $ 49 shipped, with your choice of three colors. Price: $ 149.95.
Bonus deal no. 3: You know that I didn't leave a good Roku deal goes through, even if it's a repeat of sorts. Last, while supplies DealFisher has the refurbished AƱos 1 streaming media box for $ 34.99 shipped. That's $ 15 off the price of a new one, and it comes with the same 90 day warranty. Now all you need is a cheap HDMI cable to go with it.
